Talbooth House & Spa

Absolutely perfect stay! Very clever arrangement with beautifully appointed rooms - twelve - in the peaceful main building. Great spa a short, fresh air walk from that building, with warm pool, jacuzzi and sauna . Exceptional dinner and hot breakfast a couple of minutes drive away, using a complimentary car shuttle, served in idyllic riverside and country home locations!

We enjoyed a relaxing midweek break at Talbooth House & Spa at the end of Feb'26. Our room was lovely, the evening meal at Talbooth restaurant was delicious and we had a tasty breakfast the following morning at Milsoms. The service throughout our stay at Talbooth House, Talbooth restaurant and Milsoms was excellent, warm and friendly. The setting for Talbooth House is lovely with views over Dedham Vale and we were lucky we had sunny weather during our stay, and able to enjoy a walk around Dedham and towards Flatford Mill. If you are eating at Talbooth restaurant or Milsoms, the hotel provides a courtesy shuttle and you are driven over and collected when ready, so no need to drive which is perfect! Talbooth House is very special as we got married here, so lovely to come back and enjoy the hotel and location. Thank you to everyone for making our stay special and memorable. We look forward to staying again soon.

What an amazing weekend we have just had......my daughter and her, now husband celebrated their wedding here......we had the whole hotel booked just for the wedding party and every aspect of our stay was outstanding !! The rooms, the food, the attentive, helpful staff.......none of the guests will forget this weekend.....thank you so much !!

Booked a room to spend a night with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was amazing, as soon as we arrived we were served welcome drinks, room was incredible. The attention to detail in the service really is like nothing I have experienced before. The spa facilities are tranquil, everywhere was spotless and the Christmas Dec's magical. Thank you for making it such a special night. We will definitely return.

Talbooth is extremely well known for its exceptional service, luxury accommodation and delicious food. But their stand-out USP is that this company is NEVER greedy. They do their best to go the extra mile without hiking the cost at every turn and often, they give back generously in lots of small but delightful ways. Such a rare but wonderful ethos.

We recently stayed at The Talbooth Hotel & Spa in Dedham after finding a great offer through Secret Escapes, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was pleasant and friendly. We were offered a complimentary soft drink in the lovely, comfortable lounge, which was made even more inviting by the open gas fire. It was the perfect start to our stay. Our room was beautiful, cosy, and exceptionally warm – in fact, we even had to open the window, which is always a good sign of comfort. Everything felt relaxing and thoughtfully prepared. Dinner at the Talbooth Restaurant was amazing. The food was incredible, with generous portion sizes and excellent quality. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of red wine #715 which wasn't cheap but what you would expect for such a high-end establishment. The hotel also provides a courtesy shuttle to the restaurant, which was a really nice touch and made getting there easy and convenient. We also made use of the spa facilities, which included a heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. The pool was only just bearable for a short dip as it was quite cool, but the jacuzzi was a perfect temperature and very relaxing. The sauna was somewhat disappointing as it was very small, only comfortably accommodating about four people, which meant we had to wait for it to become available. The only real letdown was the towels provided at the spa. They were not quite up to the standard you would expect from such a luxury venue. I feel if this was remedied the redult would be very positive. Breakfast at Milsoms was enjoyable and a lovely way to end our short break in a pleasant atmosphere and a good selection of food. Overall, our stay was truly enjoyable. The warm welcome, beautiful room, outstanding food, and relaxing spa experience made it a memorable break, and we would definitely return again in the future.

We have stayed at the spa hotel and I must say it’s total relaxation the staff are so friendly and welcoming nothing it too mush bother, a nice touch to be chauffeured to the restaurants, we love this place so much we have booked again in March

Lovely boutique-style hotel, with expansive views over countryside. Easy on-site parking. Very friendly welcome, nice lounge with open working fireplace and bar. Good sized rooms..all uniquely appointed. Same for ensuite bathroom. Delicious breakfast in bed....wide selection and all high quality. Lovely heated outdoor pool and infra-red sauna. Massage was really good too! Meals not on site but at nearby Milsoms. Courtesy car to and from, so no bother really. All in, a lovely relaxing stay with delightful staff...would certainly return.
